"Teatro in times of plague"

Today’s count is 419 cases, 29 deaths.

People have blocked the road to Santa Rita (and Tegucigalpa), and also the road to Tela and the coast, protesting the lack of food aid, which the government keep claiming is being distributed. But that claim is disputed: the counter-claim is that it is only being distributed to party loyalists. And while Trump has his name on the help checks in the States, JOH has his foto on the bags distributed.

Tomorrow (Thursday) hardware stores will open along with the other essential services. Don’t quite see why hardware stores….

Thursday, April 16, 2020

The count stands at 426 cases, 35 deaths.

We got a donation for the actors from a lawyer in Tegucigalpa; Edy and Luis took care of distributing it (they seem to have some special powers that keeps the cops from stopping them).

There are many parallels in what is happening in Washington and what is happening in Tegucigalpa. Most notably the last couple of days, ridiculously augmented prices of purchases, and other costs of supplies for the emergency. Both governments have contracted with ghost companies that have 1 employee for millionary expenses. Tin horn dictators are the same in both cities.

Friday, April 17, 2020

The count: 442 cases, 41 deaths. Progreso has 7 cases, 2 deaths, 31 suspected but not confirmed.

There are hundreds of wildfires in the mountains; they are leaving us an overcast day that seems to multiply the heat.

I’m going to watch Phantom of the Opera tonight. Never seen it.

Keep safe and wash your hands.
